Vorráðstefna RB 2018

Hver ætlar að baka kökuna?

Miklar breytingar eru í vændum með nýjum greiðsluþjónustulögum (PSD2), opnun bankakerfisins (open banking) og Fintech. Allir hafa hlutverki að gegna í þessum breytingum; stjórnvöld, fjármálastofnanir, fjártækni- og nýsköpunarfyrirtæki og neytendur. Tækifærin eru mikil. Allt „hráefni“ er til staðar en óljóst hver mun taka af skarið og „baka kökuna“. Við höfum fengið frábæra fyrirlesara víðs vegar að til að velta þessum spurningum fyrir sér með okkur og spá aðeins fyrir um framtíðina.

Andra Sonea

Architect and Speaker for 11:FS 

Andra splits her time between consulting internationally with 11:FS for large financial institutions and doing her PhD at the University of Warwick. Her research interest is in the modularisation of the financial services architecture and the development of new large-scale systems as complex adaptive systems.

Andra built her career in consulting mostly with IBM and SAP and she has worked internationally implementing complex financial systems for large corporations and banks. For the past seven years she has been involved in the Fintech market in London, setting up a Business Innovation Lab in IBM, working as a Lead Solution Architect for the Innovation Lab of Lloyds Bank.

She is an Anthemis fellow and a mentor for Startupbootcamp in London. She holds an MBA from London Business School."

Jan Sirich

Founder and CEO Thenext.dk

After a “lifetime” at Nordea Bank and as Digital thought leader, Jan decided to exit end 2017 and instead establish his own start-up: TheNext.dk. Jan is on a mission to help incumbent banks or new entrants to transform banking to a Digital business model and Jan is particularly keen on ideas of; partnering up to boost and accelerate innovation, eco-system orchestration, and collaboration in general between customers, businesses, banks and authorities.

Faith Reynolds

Independent Consumer Financial Expert

Faith is an independent consumer finance expert. She is a member of the Financial Conduct Authority's Financial Services Consumer Panel where she chairs the EU Working Group and is the lead for technology and innovation. She acts as the Customer Representative on the Open Banking Implementation Entity Steering Group and authored the widely-read report, 'Open Banking: A Consumer Perspective'. She recently joined the Current Account Switch Service as an independent non-executive director. Faith is also a member of the RegTech Council.

Previously, Faith was a member of the Payments Strategy Forum, ESMA's Financial Innovation Standing Committee Consultative Working Group, as well as CILEX's Strategic Risk Committee. Between 2010-2012 Faith pursued the Clore Social Leadership Programme, undertaking research into Big Society while based at the Institute for Government and more recently helped the Institute look at how it creates impact.

Faith was a member of HM Treasury’s Financial Inclusion Taskforce, advising Government on its financial inclusion strategy and she also set up Toynbee Hall's financial inclusion work.

Brian Bushnell

Head of Benelux Business Consulting - Sopra Banking Software

Brian is Benelux Head of Business Consulting at Sopra Banking. He works primarily in the financial services and payments industries, having spent over 20 years helping top-tier banks, merchants, payments processors and networks, as well as technology providers. His work over the last decade has put him at the heart of developments in Open Banking, FinTech, ecosystems and platform business models, payments innovation and emerging regulatory change.

 

He leads a management consulting practice helping clients create tangible value. His experience and expertise includes clarifying long-term strategy, developing innovative new businesses and products, entering new markets, developing creative new business and operating models, P&L optimization, streamlining legacy operations, exploiting regulatory and technology changes for maximum advantage and helping accelerate their ongoing digital and operational transformations.

 

Brian has written extensively on the European payments and banking industry, and is a regular keynote speaker on various banking innovation topics, including: Emerging Open Banking Ecosystems and Business Models; PSD2: the Future of Banking Directive; The Future of Payments; Payments innovation; Fintech and Bank co-opetition. Brian is also involved in Sopra’s European Open Banking, PSD2, payment and transaction-banking thought leadership, and supports the development of efforts on digital solutions and regulatory trends.

Friðrik Þór Snorrason

Forstjóri RB

Friðrik var ráðinn forstjóri Reiknistofu bankanna í febrúar 2011. Hann var framkvæmdastjóri tækni- og rekstrarþjónustufyrirtækisins Skyggnis (nú partur af Nýherja) 2008-2011 og áður framkvæmdastjóri viðskiptaþróunar hjá Nýherja. Friðrik starfaði á árunum 2000-2003 sem forstöðumaður hagdeildar Strax Inc. í Bandaríkjunum. Á árunum 1998-2000 starfaði hann sem stjórnunarráðgjafi hjá Branstock Consulting á Bretlandi. Hann starfaði einnig sem greinandi hjá Economist Intelligence Unit á árunum 1997-1999 og verkefnastjóri í þróunarteymi hjá National Heritage Lottery Fund á árunum 1997-1998.

Friðrik lauk BA-prófi í alþjóðasamskiptum frá University of Wisconsin í Bandaríkjunum 1994 og meistaraprófi í sama fagi frá London School of Economics í Englandi 1996.

Tómas Ingason

Framkvæmdastjóri viðskiptasviðs WOW air

Tómas Ingason er framkvæmdastjóri viðskiptasviðs WOW air. Undir viðskiptasvið heyra sala, markaðssetning, þjónusta og tekjustýring.

Tómas starfaði áður hjá Arion banka sem forstöðumaður Stafrænnar framtíðar. Á árunum 2011 til 2013 starfaði Tómas sem stjórnunarráðgjafi hjá Bain & Company í Kaupmannahöfn. Áður leiddi Tómas tekjustýringu og verðlagningu hjá Icelandair.

Tómas hefur MBA gráðu frá MIT Sloan School of Management í Boston en auk þess hefur hann lokið MS gráðu í verkfræði frá MIT með áherslu á flugrekstur og aðfangakeðjur. Tómas er með BS gráðu í iðnaðarverkfræði frá Háskóla Íslands.
